Being on St Maarten and being able to enjoy a full life of extremely beautiful weather is truly a gift.

This Caribbean Gem, which is only a stone’s throw away has thirty-three extravagant beaches that are unlike anything else in the world.

I think this must be one of the reasons why I very often visit its shores. The crystal clear waters of its palm lined beaches, is breathtaking and leaves you at a loss for words to describe its beauty.

This Caribbean getaway is just a short 15 minutes by ferry from St Maarten departing from the French side of the island making it the perfect weekend escape.

When visitors cross the channel to this warm and charming pearl Island, the natives receive them in the most hospitable way that one could possible get from local folk.

They understand that there are many other islands that people could decide to visit, being that St Maarten is only fifteen minutes away by ferry.

Your vacation could not be complete without a full tour of the island. It is hard to imagine how much the island has evolved over the decades into what is known today as one of the premier spots in the Caribbean.

With the many activities on the island you will have a choice of what you what to do every day. There is never a time when you would have to do the same thing in a week here.

For example there are the terrific boat races that the entire family can either participate in or just watch in awe as the ships glide across the water as the people cheer them on.

Being that boat racing is the nation's national sport, if you just so happen to be here in August you will catch the best time for the races. That’s just something to think about when you are planning your trip.
